| Second, everyone is telling you to clean your engine up...my warning to you is this: it is addictive. Once you start, you won't want to stop. In fact, when you're trying to go to sleep, you'll still be thinking about cleaning your engine...how shiny and clean it will be...the "ooooo's" and "aahhhh's" it will bring...or maybe thats just me. Anyway, if Simple Green and WD-40 don't cut it for you (they didn't for me), step up to some Gumout TB cleaner or Carburetor cleaner. That stuff cuts through anything. Just make sure you don't get it on your exterior paint because it will take off the wax. This tip brought to you by the guys at Z1. Here are some before and after pics of my engine. When I bought the car, it was the dirtiest engine I had ever seen, but now it's on it's way to the above mentioned effects. Before:
Notice that in this pic I had already tried to clean up the aprons a little...that was with WD-40 and Simple Green. Time to bring out the big guns. After:
